Mitchelton–Scott’s Adam Yates won the 178km fifth stage of Tirreno-Adriatico that finished in Filottrano today.
Second place goes to Bora-Hansgrohe’s Peter Sagan, and third to Team Sky’s Michał Kwiatkowski.
Lotto Soudal’s Tiesj Benoot finished in fourth, with EF Education First-Drapac p/b Cannondale’s Rigoberto Uran completing the top five for the day.
Kwiatkowski also takes the overall lead with BMC Racing Team’s Damiano Caruso second and Movistar Team’s Mikel Landa third.
Team Sky’s Geraint Thomas lies fourth overall, with Uran in fifth.
