Andrew Hill won the 90km first stage of the PE Plett, which took riders on a challenge from Kurland to Tsitsikamma today.
Hill, who had warned not to underestimate the four-stage race yesterday, won the solo men’s category in 3:45:43, beating Jason Reed and Kevin Howlett into second and third respectively.
Team Mad Mac p/b häzz/Silverback Bikes’ Declan Sidey and Shaun-Nick Bester won the men’s team race in 3:52:02. They beat Fedgroup’s Brandon Stewart and Ian Mcleod, and Bike Shop-Scott-Strocam’s Aiden Connelly and Rogan Smart into second and third respectively.

Recent Herald Cycle Tour MTB Race champion Yolande de Villiers won the solo women’s race in 4:02:39. Ingrid Landman and Janine Wencke rounded out the podium in second and third respectively.
Fedgroup SPCA’s Cindy Theunissen and Sarah van Heerden won the women’s team category.
Sean Grobler won the 74km Lite race, beating Patrick Billson. Bridgit Hill won the solo women’s race.
