Mitchelton-Scott’s Simon Yates finished in second, with Groupama-FDJ’s Thibaut Pinot in third.
His stage win earned him the overall race lead ahead of Movistar’s Alejandro Valverde and Mitchelton-Scott’s Daryl Impey.
Mitchelton-Scott’s Simon Yates is in fourth place overall, with Groupama-FDJ’s Thibaut Pinot in fifth.
