Photos of the inaugural four-stage Tour de Limpopo, which took place between Polokwane and Tzaneen from April 24, can be viewed below.

Stage one
Tour de Limpopo started off with a 96.4km stage from Polokwane to Tzaneen.
Riders tackled 1 266m of elevation and had to sprint for two hotspots and climb their heart out for the king of the mountain spot.
They enjoyed the scenic Magoebasklood Pass before reaching the finish line.
ProTouch’s Gustav Basson won the stage in a time of 2:12:51.

Stage two
The second Tour de Limpopo stage saw riders head off from Tzaneen towards the Limpopo University and back to Tzaneen after 175km.
The queen stage featured 2 735m of elevation, three king of the mountain hotspots and one sprint hotspot.
The young Andrew Edwards, who rides for AC/DC Luso, was the champion of the day, after finishing in 4:26:53.
Gustav Basson took the overall lead from Clint Hendricks.

Stage three
Stage three of the Tour de Limpopo featured a 28.8km time-trial that started and finished in Tzaneen.
The top four of each team determined their time for the stage.
Teams hoped to improved their top rider’s overall time on this day.

Stage four
The final Tour de Limpopo stage took riders from Tzaneen to Polokwane. It eventually came to an end at the Peter Mokabe Stadium after 96.9km.
The challenges on the stage were the 2 134m of elevation, king of the mountain hotspot and the sprint hotspot.
