Team Sky’s Chris Froome climbed to victory on the 186km 14th stage of the Giro d’Italia atop the Monte Zoncolan today.
The Brit completed the race in 5:35:21, beating compatriot and race leader Micthelton-Scott’s Simon Yates by six seconds. Bahrain-Merida’s Domenico Pozzovivo (Italy) rounded out the podium another 23 seconds later.

Yates retained his race lead and extended it to over one minute ahead of Team Sunweb’s Tom Dumoulin (Netherlands). Froome moves up to fifth place.
