South Africa’s Louis Meintjes finished ninth overall after stage five of the Vuelta a Burgos in Burgos, Spain, today.
Meintjes, who finished 10th on the final stage, completed the five-day event in 19:03:00.
Columbia’s Ivan Sosa (Androni Giocattoli-Sidermec) claimed the title in 19:00:37. Second were compatriot Miguel Angel Lopez (Astana Pro) and Spain’s David de la Cruz (Sky).

The 141km stage was won by Sosa in 3:26:37, followed by Lopez and Spaniard Sergio Pardilla Bellon (Caja Rural-Seguros RGA).
