Wian Coetzer won the men’s feature race at the Wolseley MTB Challenge in Wolseley, Western Cape, today.
He finished the 60km course in 1:15:12 with Christo de Villiers (1:40:48) and Willem van der Walt (1:44:10) taking second and third respectively.

Hedwich Tulp won the women’s event in 3:46:46 to beat Marlene Pienaar (4:15:19) and Yolanda Engelbrecht (4:51:34).
The 40km men’s race was won by Robert Boucher in 1:34:15. He was followed by Morne Immelman (1:36:52) and Marius Strydom (1:39:07).
Elana Swart took the women’s spoils in 1:51:03. Cheryl Bucklow (1:53:53) finished second with Antoinette Tinker (2:21:09) third.
The 25km men’s title went Samuel Milner when he finished in 1:22:39 ahead of Philip van Schalkwyk (1:23:23) and Johannes Smuts (1:24:54).
Tamarin Moelans (1:43:08) took top honours in the women’s race, followed by Jacqueline Pentz (1:49:40) and Adele Henning (1:54:08).
