Matthys Beukes and Philip Buys won the 70km second stage of the 3 Towers stage race at Mankele in Mpumalanga today.
The PYGA Euro Steel pair narrowly beat NAD Pro’s Nico Bell and Matt Beers by nine seconds. Imbuko Momsen MTB’s Dylan Rebello and Marco Joubert completed the podium.
Bell and Beers, however, retained their race lead ahead of the third and final stage tomorrow.

Team dormakaba SA’s Amy McDougall and Samantha Sanders won the women’s race – taking the race lead – while Power Couple’s Pieter du Toit and Danielle Strydom won the mixed category.
