The three-day Berg and Bush ‘Great Trek’ followed the featured ‘Descent’ version of the race, which took place at the weekend.
The ‘Great Trek’ started at Windmill farm atop the Drakensberg Mountains on Tuesday, before riders plunged down into KwaZulu-Natal and eventually finished at Em’seni after the third and final stage.

Stage one
Riders took on a 98km route from Windmill farm down to the Garden of Eden. The stage was won by Jan-Hendrik Gutter and Lodewyk Lombard. View the results

Stage two
Riders took on a 62km route, which started with an early morning climb up Ox Wagon Hill, before eventually crossing the Tugela River on a suspension bridge before the finish. The stage was won by Eric Storbeck and Francois Lotter. View the results

Stage three
The race was concluded with a 48km final stage, which ascended the famous Spioenkop Mountain before a tricky descent down to Em’seni where the stage ended. The stage was won by Colin & Eugene’s Colin-Allan Germs and Eugene Beck. View the results
