Aluserve-Breedenet’s David Garrett and AJ Davids claimed the victory on stage two of the Cape Duo Challenge in the Cape Winelands, Western Cape, today.

They finished the day’s 55km mountain bike race in 2:51:58, beating BMT’s Luyanda Thobegunya and Baphelele Mbombo (2:58:25) into second. Phillip Botha and Linus van Onselen (Flandria Young and Old) finished third in 2:58:52.
Breedenet’s Courteney Webb and Lehane Oosthuizen (3:33:46) won the women’s team event ahead of Vibeke Moore and Tish Jones (4:45:15). They were followed by Petra Kruger and Ninette Pienaar (5:43:19).
Deon Brenner and Karin van Niekerk (4:10:10) took the honours in the mixed category. Second were Elana Swart and Marius Strydom (4:44:15), followed by Shirley Botha and Monre Steyn (5:15:35).
Marthinus Kruger (3:28:22) and Louise Ferreira (3:28:30) won the solo men’s and women’s races.
