David Garrett and Yolanda Engelbrecht won the respective men’s and women’s 42km feature of the Langebaan Country Estate MTB Funride in the Western Cape today.
Garrett, who also won the road race yesterday, completed the race in 1:17:34, comfortably beating Aaron Borrill and Willem Callitz by some 17 minutes.

Engelbrecht won the women’s race in 1:47:28, beating Karina Stowick into second. Shena Hardy rounded out the podium.
Gert Bredenhann (48:35) and Anne-Marie du Plessis (57:59) were the respective winners in the 18km race.
