The two-day Sanlam Mountain Bike Invitational started at Meerendal Wine Estate in Durbanville, Western Cape, today.

Stage one
The opening stage consisted of a 58.1km route where riders completed a 6km loop around the Meerendal wine farm before heading out to other wine estates for some spectacular views of the Western Cape.

Stage two
The second and final stage comprised a 40km route, which ascended a mountain on some challenging singletrack sections on Rhebokskloof into the reserve.
