Andrew Johnson will be hoping that it will be third time lucky against his teammate when he draws the battle lines at the Kamberg Classic mountain bike race at Glengarry in the Drakensberg on Sunday.
The Ballito Bicycle Co rider has lost out twice in recent times to Tyronne White, who beat him to the line at the Wartburg MTB Classic in February and at the Berg 100 last weekend.

“I think I’m in good form at the moment,” said White, who currently leads the Roag series.
“It all depends on who arrives and who else is racing at Kamberg, but I’m feeling pretty good so would like to be going for the win.”
White said he had not competed in the race before as it normally clashed with another event, but his participation had been made possible due to the date changing from September.
“I’m very keen to ride and I’ve heard loads of good things about it from other riders.”
The 65km route has not changed much, except for new single-track through a section of trees that was not accessible in previous years.
On the women’s side, Christie-Leigh Hearder leads the Roag series, of which the Kamberg event is the second leg.
