PYGA Euro Steel’s Philip Buys and Matthys Beukes won the queen stage of the Cape Epic in Stellenbosch today.
The South African duo completed the 100km route in a time of 4:19:29, just ahead of yesterday’s stage winners Nino Schurter and Lars Forster (SCOTT-SRAM).

Damiano Ferraro and Samuele Porro (Trek Selle San Marco) crossed the line in third place six minutes later.
Schurter and Forster lead the general classification after today’s fifth stage, with Cannondale Factory Racing’s Manuel Fumic and Henrique Avancini in second. Ferraro and Porro are in third.
Specialized Foundation NAD’s Alan Hatherly and Matt Beers lead the African men overall classification.
