Joshua van Wyk and Maroesjka Matthee won the respective elite men’s and women’s elimination race on day one of the SA National Track Championships at the Bellville Velodrome yesterday.
Nolan Hoffman came in second with Steven van Heerden third.

In the women’s event, Danielle van Niekerk claimed the second position, while Courtney Smith completed the podium.
Van Wyk also won the 1 500m elite men’s race, with Courtney Smith winning the women’s version.
The junior men’s time trial was won by Tiano da Silva and Andrea de Waal won the women’s race.
