The first stage will comprise a 170km route and will include a three-lap circuit after ascending the cote d’Aspremont.
The stage is expected to culminate in a bunch sprint on the Promenade des Anglais.
The 190km second stage will tackle the col de la Colmiane, col de Turini and Col D’Eze Mountains, which is expected to pose a stiff challenge for the climbers.
This will be the seventh time that the Tour starts in the south of France.
