Australian Cameron Wright won the Karkloof Classic marathon in Howick today.
He completed the 60km race in 2:39:53 and was followed home by Henry Liebenberg (2:40:09), with Stuart Marais (2:40:29) finishing third.
“It’s great to be back and I’ve got another month in South Africa which is great,” said Wright.
Frances Janse van Rensburg (3:25:49) won the women’s title, with Rouxda Grobler (3:34:29) placing second and Tiffany Keep (3:36:03) third.
“Being my first 60km race I didn’t really know what to expect so I took it easy,” said Janse van Rensburg.
