He finished the 39.4km course in 46:01, beating Pello Bilbao by 49 seconds and Gorka Izagirre by one minute and 28 seconds.
The women’s 21.6km race against the clock was won by Sheyla Gutierrez in 28:56. She was followed by Lourdes Oyarbide (+0:00:53) and Gloria Rodriguez (+0:00:55).
