British cyclist Simon Yates climbed to victory on stage 15 of the Tour de France that finished in Foix today.
The Mitchelton-Scott rider completed the 185km race, which started in Limoux, in 4:47:05.
“I’m very tired now, that one took a lot of effort. There are some more chances, we’ll see what it holds,” said the stage winner.
Thibaut Pinot (Groupama-FDJ) and Mikel Landa (Movistar Team) placed second and third respectively.
Julian Alaphilippe (Deceuninck-Quick-Step) kept the yellow jersey on his shoulders, while defending champion Geraint Thomas (Team Ineos) stayed in second overall, with Steven Kruijswijk (Team Jumbo-Visma) third.
