Fernando Gaviria won stage two and took the overall lead at the Vuelta a San Juan in Pocito yesterday.
The UAE Team Emirates rider completed the 168.7km stage in 3:30:06.
Nicolas Javier Naranjo (Agrupacion Virgen De Fatima) and Marco Benfatto (Bardiani-CSF-Faizane) came second and third respectively.
