The eighth and final stage of the Paris-Nice race has been cancelled due to coronavirus concerns, the organisers announced today.
They said that after consultation with the relevant authorities – the Union Cycliste Internationale and the Ville de Nice – it had been decided the seventh stage would be the last.
The remaining stages consist of today’s 161.5km and tomorrow’s 166.5km legs.
Stage six starts in Sorgues and finishes in Apt, while stage seven starts in Nice and finishes in Valdeblore La Colmiane.
Sunday’s final stage would have covered 113.5km, with the start and finish in Nice.
