Organisers of the sani2c three-day mountain bike stage race, due to take place in KwaZulu-Natal from May the 12 to 16, have decided to postpone the event until December due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“In the best interests of the health and wellbeing of the sani2c riders and the communities along its route there is no question that the correct thing to do is to postpone,” said sani2c founder Glen Haw.
“We are pleased to announce new dates, and the sani2c community looks forward to welcoming our riders in December.”
The organisers have stated that in the event of a later cancellation of the race all new entries will be fully refunded.
As for riders who have already entered and will not be able to attend the new dates, the organisers have made arrangements that their entries roll over to next year’s event.
