Tlotlo Selala and Michele Dreyer won the men’s and women’s races at the shortened Magalies MTB Adventure in Magaliesburg, Gauteng, today.
Selala completed the 50km event in 2:10:26 to record a narrow victory over Lucky Mlangeni (2:10:27) and Brian Dubazana (2:10:28).
Dreyer finished the race in 2:50:20 to secure a comfortable victory over Shivani Maharaj (3:12:43) with Friederike von Stackelberg completing the podium (3:13:12).
Travis Rademan-Ludeke won the 40km men’s event, while Refilwe Mogorosi triumphed in the women’s race.
The event, which is traditionally held over two days, was shortened to a single stage after heavy overnight rains left sections of the course waterlogged.
