Stage two of the sani2c Race was neutralised following heavy rains at Mackenzie Club, the starting point of the 97km route.
With the course already muddy and with more rain expected during the day, the organisers had no other choice than to make the call.
The overall lead remains unchanged with DSV Pro Cycling’s Arno du Toit and Gert Heyns heading the men’s section ahead of Philip Buys and Matthys Beukes (Pyga-Euro Steel). Keagan Bontekoning and Brendan van Eeden (Insect Science) are in third.
Robyn de Groot and Amy McDougall lead the women’s section while Chris Horter and Christie Hearder are on top in the mixed event.
