The South African team for three upcoming international UCI Para-Cycling events has been announced.
Cycling SA today confirmed a 14-athlete team to take part in events in Belgium and Portugal between April 30 and June 13.
The team, comprising 11 men and three women, will be headlined by 10-time Boston Marathon wheelchair winner, Ernst van Dyk.
In addition to his successes on the streets on Boston, Van Dyk, now 47 years old, was also the gold medal winner at both the 2008 Beijing Games and 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics in the men’s wheelchair road race.
