Organisers of the 2021 Vuelta a Espana have chosen the teams that will take part in the 76th edition of the race.
The year’s final grand tour will depart on August 14 from the 800-year-old Burgos Cathedral and finish on September 5 in Santiago de Compostela.
In accordance with UCI rules, all 19 UCI WorldTeams are automatically invited to the race.
In addition, Alpecin-Fenix (BEL), leaders in the 2020 classification of UCI ProTeams, will take part by right.
Those 20 teams will be joined by three other wildcard teams as selected by the race organisers.
Jumbo-Visma’s Slovenian star Primoz Roglic is the defending champion.
