There was more reason to celebrate for South African supporters early on day two of the 2021 African Continental Road Championships in Cairo, Egypt.
Chanté Olivier took gold in the junior women’s individual time-trial.
The 17-year-old from Bloemfontein covered the 13.5km route in 23:23 to take victory.
On Tuesday, Olivier was part of the junior women’s gold medal winning team time-trial quartet.
