The second Gauteng XCO Cup took place at Grootfontein Bike Park over the long weekend.
The new XCO course did not disappoint and proved tough but fun for all competitors.
With a number of climbs and technical sections it proved to be great race preparation for the upcoming SA XCO Cup at Thaba Trails which will take place on Saturday, March 27.
The men’s elite category was won by Pieter du Toit who completed the seven-lap course in a time of 1:31:21 to finish almost 10 minutes ahead of runner-up JC Nel. Wian van den Bergh took third.
