Carla Oberholzer will be striving to transfer the fine form she showed at the African Continental Road Championships to the South African edition in Swellendam this weekend.
The Demacon Ladies rider returned from Cairo in Egypt with four gold medals and said she would be chasing further success at the national road championships in the Western Cape.
However, the 34-year-old, who won a double silver last year, realises there will be plenty of contenders who have the same idea.
“I know a lot of riders have been preparing really well for the championships and, as we haven’t raced each other in more than a year, I won’t be counting out anyone at this stage,” she said.
