Alan Hatherly and Candice Lill are the overwhelming favourites for victory at round two of the SA XCO Cup at Thaba Trails in Johannesburg on Saturday.
The duo displayed their star quality earlier in the month in the first round at Summerplace Farm in Limpopo, riding to victory in the men’s and women’s elite categories, respectively.
Hatherly, who represented South Africa at the Rio de Janeiro Olympics in 2016, took victory by beating Philip Buys into second with Arno du Toit in third place.
