Cape Town Cycle Tour organisers have extended the entry deadline for South Africans wanting to participate in next year’s race until Tuesday October 3.
According to director David Bellairs, technical issues were the main reason for the extension.
“Because of this, and to give people more time after payday to finalise their entries, we have decided to extend the closing date for next year’s Cape Town Cycle Tour,” he said.
Entries, which opened on September 20, will remain open on the event’s website until 4pm that day. International riders will have until February 23 to enter.

Next year’s race, which takes place on March 11, will start at the Grand Parade Precint after strong winds caused the event to be cancelled this year.
