The event, which will take place in Oudtshoorn in the Western Cape, starts on February 6 and concludes on February 11.
The most significant change to the schedule is the shift of the elite, U23 and junior men and ladies races, which will now take place on the Saturday to give them sufficient time to travel to Rwanda for the African champs.
The time-trial events will take place on February 6 and 7, with the road races taking place over the following days.
The time-trail will start in Voortrekker Road and take place on a 14.6 km circuit out of town in the direction of Volmoed onto the Mossel Bay road towards the Safari Ostrich farm. From there the circuit turns back to town via Langenhoven Road, and back to the start.
The road races will start and finish in Voortrekker Road. All the routes will start in the direction of Volmoed (depending on the distance), with a shorter loop entering the town in Rademeyer Street, onto Langenhoven Road with the finish-line in Voortrekker Road.
Reinardt Janse van Rensburg collected his first national title this year after he beat Willie Smit and Ryan Gibbons. Heidi Dalton was crowned the women’s winner after beating defending champions An-Li Kachelhoffer and recent Ashleigh Moolman-Pasio.
Recent 947 Cycle Challenge winners Daryl Impey and Moolman-Pasio won the time-trial.
