joBerg2c is a nine-day mountain bike tour that start in Heidelberg and finishes in Scottburgh on April 28. Photos of the event can be viewed below.

Stage one
Stage one of joBerg2c was a 116km neutral stage to get the riders’ legs properly warmed up before the competitiveness kicked in. Riders enjoyed a beautiful and clear day at Karan Beef.
The route featured a taste of the singletrack sections, as well as farmlands and district roads.
Declan Sidey and Shaun-Nick Bester ultimately crossed the finish line in first place.
Stage two
The second stage took riders on a 93km challenge from Frankfort to Reitz – a stage where the participants were forced to lay down the marker ahead of the rest of the nine-day event.
The stage took place between farmlands, along rivers, on some rough rural roads and down a few challenging descents.
NAD Pro’s Nico Bell and Gawie Combrinck won the stage in 3:01:25 and had ultimately taken the lead on the general classification standings. View results and GC after stage two here.
Stage three
The third joBerg2c stage took riders on a misty 122km stage from Reitz to Sterkfontein Dam.
The route, which consisted of 1 118m of ascent and 1 082m of descent, featured a new section of singletrack.
Riders enjoyed farm lands, rural roads, vast open spaces as well as a few gentle climbs.
NAD Pro’s Gawie Combrinck and Nico Bell crossed the line first after a time of 4:21:43.
Stage four
A beautiful and muddy day four featured a 93km long stage that started at Sterkfontein Dam and finished in Emseni.
It featured a huge drop and a new trail. Riders had to take on 1 100m of ascent and 1 706m of descent.
The area showed off beautiful views and vast scenery.
Overall leaders Gawie Combrinck and Nico Bell won the stage in 3:16:49.
Stage five
Day five, which is known as possibly the toughest day, covered 122km from Emseni to Clifton Nottingham Road.
Riders tackled 2 241m of ascent and 1 757m of descent during the route that featured four waterpoints.
Beautiful scenery, singletrack, rural dirt roads and exquisite mountains spoiled mountain bikers.
NAD Pro MTB’s Gawie Combrinck and Nico Bell claimed another stage win on the day and are strong in the lead overall.
Stage six
The sixth day of the joBerg2c mountain bike tour started at Clifton, Nottingham Road, and finished at Glencairn Farm, Sani Pass Road.
Riders enjoyed another beautiful day out with clear skies as they tackled the 98km route that featured 2 022m of ascent and 1 997m of descent.
The stage offered a bit of everything – a few steep climbs, exciting singletrack sections, as well as country tracks that have never been ridden before.
Overall leaders Nico Bell and Gawie Combrinck won the stage in 3:51:21.
Stage seven
Day seven of joBerg2C started at Glencairn Farm and finished on the Sani Pass Road to Mackenzie Club. Riders had to complete an 82km course.
NAD Pro’s Nico Bell and Gawie Combrinck claimed yet another stage win to increase their overall lead.
Stage eight
The last day of competitive racing was contested over 99km from Jolivet to Scottburgh.
The overall title went to NAD Pro’s Nico Bell and Gawie Combrinck after they won stage eight.
Stage nine
The final stage – a neutral stage – took place on an 84km route from Jolivet to Scottburgh. NAD Pro’s Gawie Combrinck and Nico Bell finished first on the stage, but no changes were made on the general classification standings.
