Quick-Step Floors’ Bob Jungels soloed to victory at the 258km elite men’s Liège-Bastogne-Liège in Belgium today.
The Luxembourger completed the race in 6:24:44, beating Cannondale–Drapac’s Michael Woods (Canada) and AG2R La Mondiale’s Romain Bardet (France) into second and third respectively.

Jungels got away over the top of the second last climb and held on to his lead until the end.
“I did not think I could win until I saw no one at the finish,” Jungels said afterwards.
“I felt good all day. I just cannot believe it – it is unreal. I have been waiting for such a big result for a while.
“The team have had a super spring campaign. I am super happy.”
