The Wines2Whales Shiraz mountain bike race started at Lourensford Wine Estate in Somerset West, Western Cape, yesterday.
The Shiraz event, which consisted of three-stages, was the last of the three Wines2Whales events.

Stage one
During stage one, riders had to complete a 69km route from Lourensford Wine Estate to Oak Valley Wine Estate (Grabouw).

Stage two
The second stage consisted of a 66km route, which started and finished at Oak Valley Wine Estate.

Stage three
The third and final stage comprised a 72km route, which started at the Oak Valley Wine Estate and finished in the coastal whale-watching town of Hermanus. Matt Beers and Wessel Botha clinched the overall title.
