Chanté Olivier capped off a golden week at the African Continental Road Championships in Cairo, Egypt, by winning the junior women’s road race today.
The 17-year-old from Bloemfontein covered the four-lap 56km course quickest to win her third gold medal of the championships.
On Tuesday’s opening day she was part of the winning team trial-time quartet and then triumphed in the individual time-trial on Wednesday to finish as South Africa’s top junior at the 15th annual champs.
