Ingrid Avidon has won the women’s race at the 2021 Freedom Challenge: Race to Willowmore.
Avidon completed the 530km route from Cradock to Willowmore in the Eastern Cape in 62 hours and 58 minutes, finishing third overall in addition to taking the honours in the women’s category.
The second woman across the finish line was Estelle Labuschange in 86 hours and 58 minutes.
The Race to Willowmore was won by Mike Woolnough in a new record time.
Avidon recently finished second in the women’s category – and sixth overall – in the Freedom Challenge: Race to Cradock which was won overall by Janine Stewart.
