The 41st edition of the Cape Town Cycle Tour, arguably one of the biggest one-day classics in the world based on participant numbers, took place in the Mother City today.
The elite men raced a 109km route, with the women, starting in their own batch for the second consecutive year, having a raced a 78km challenge. Both events finished at the Green Point Stadium.
New Zealander Sam Gaze surged to victory in the men’s race, while Cherise Willeit claimed her fourth title.
